Our products include CNC and conventional chip-making equipment (mills, lathes, saws, grinders) as well as a complete line of fabricating equipment (press brakes, shears, angle and plate rolls, and plasma systems).We are seeking a hands-on Machine Tool Service Technician (shop and field) to join our Philadelphia team. This role involves maintaining, machine troubleshooting, and repairing equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.Tasks & ResponsibilitiesPrepare machines for shipment, including uncrating, powering up, and performing full testing. Perform customer demonstrations and operator walkthroughs in our showroom .Provide technical support by phone and on-site service to diagnose and resolve machine issues.Accurately document service activities, repairs, and maintenance procedures.Assist with industrial machine installation and customer training.Skills & Qualifications 1–3 years of experience in industrial machine repair or a related technical field. Hands-on experience with machine tools (Lathes, Mills, Saws, Grinders, or Sheet Metal Machinery).Strong mechanical aptitude and industrial electrical (3-phase) systems.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Strong communication skills, including the ability to assist customers over the phone.Experience with blueprints, schematics, hydraulics, or PLC interfaces is a plusThe Travel ExpectationWhile based primarily in our Philadelphia showroom, this role includes a travel component of 30-50% to support our national machine deliveries and industry trade shows (IMTS and FABTECH). As KAAST continues to expand, we seek a candidate who is flexible and comfortable with seasonal shifts up or down in travel frequency.Pay: $25-$45/hour.
