Education & ExperienceDatabase administration experience in a professional environment and/or comparable experience such as:Experience administering one or more database platforms (e.g., DB2 z/OS, Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Netezza)Familiarity with database backup/recovery, high availability, and disaster recovery conceptsExperience with performance tuning and query optimizationExperience with scripting/automation (Shell, Python, PowerShell, etc.)Familiarity with Agile or other rapid application development methodologiesUnderstanding of distributed systems and multi-tier architecturesBachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field required, advanced degree preferredPreferred QualificationsExperience with database monitoring and observability toolsKnowledge of cloud database platforms (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, etc.)Experience with data modeling and database design principlesFamiliarity with NoSQL databases and big data platforms
