This role ensures successful turn-up of high-speed optical circuits and seamless integration into the existing network.Key Responsibilities:Configure and commission Cisco NCS 2000 (DWDM) platforms and 400G transpondersPerform optical circuit turn-up, testing, and validationIntegrate DWDM nodes into existing network infrastructure and management systemsConfigure optical parameters, wavelengths, and link optimizationTroubleshoot optical network issues (signal loss, alarms, link failures)Support network cutovers and downtime coordination with stakeholdersValidate end-to-end connectivity and performancePrepare and review configuration templates and technical documentationProvide guidance to onsite engineers during installation and testingEnsure compliance with DoD and security standardsRequired Skills & Experience:Strong hands-on experience with Cisco NCS 2000 (NCS2K) DWDM platformsExperience in 100G / 200G / 400G optical networksKnowledge of DWDM concepts (wavelengths, ROADM, optical power levels, attenuation)Experience with optical modules (CFP2, QSFP, MPO/LC connectivity)Familiarity with network management systems and monitoring toolsStrong troubleshooting skills in live network environmentsCertifications (Preferred):Cisco CCIE (Service Provider or equivalent)Optical/DWDM specialized certificationsOther Requirements:Ability to work onsite during critical phasesAbility to coordinate with multiple teams and stakeholdersActive Secret Clearance (mandatory for this project)
