Visiting Assistant Professor of Physician Assistant Studies
Methodist University invites applicants for a full-time, 12-month, visiting, non-tenure track, one-year, renewable appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor. This position begins January 1, 2026. Previous teaching experience in a Physician Assistant program is strongly recommended. Full-time faculty members are required to maintain practice skills and are given one day each week to engage in clinical practice. Salary is commensurate with the level of education as well as professional and academic experience. Responsibilities include:Provide student instruction in the didactic and clinical phases of the program.Teach and assist in labs as neededParticipate in the evaluation of student performance throughout the didactic and clinical phases of the programAssist with the remediation process of students in both the didactic and clinical phases of the programParticipate in the selection of applicants for admission to the PA programServe as a student academic advisor as assigned by the program directorActively participate in designing, implementing, coordinating, and evaluating the curriculum Participate in the evaluation of the programOther duties as assigned by the program directorApplication:Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
