Full Stack Java Developer Location: RemoteDuration: 6 month to start (prefers contract to hire)Job DescriptionThe Java Systems Developer IT is responsible for providing a high degree of technical knowledge in application systems development and design. This position will provide technical consultative advice and instruction to the team and our business partners. This position is responsible for leading the team to design, develop, test, and document complex application business solutions. This position is responsible for designing, coding, testing, debugging, and documenting systems and procedures. Collaborating with other team members by providing technical advice and training will be a core function of the position.Responsibilities Systems Developer IT team to analyze, define, and document requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, hardware, operating system environment, interfaces with other systems, internal and external checks and controls, and outputsDevelop and apply theories and methods to solve complex technological problems; code or modify, test, and debug programs of difficult complexityManage work direction, lead and influence, and provide feedback to others within teamReview code & design qualityParticipate in staffing plans to identify subject matter experts (SMEs) and provide feedback for staff performance reviewsOwn application(s) within area, including proactive monitoring and communication of overall health and future sustainabilityOther duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; High School Diploma or GED equivalent required5 years of experience with application development or package software implementation that includes Java development experienceAdditional Qualifications Ability to manage work direction and lead, influence, mentor, and provide feedback to others within teamEstablished presenter of technical and non-technical material adapted to the respective audienceAbility to transition abstract concepts into stable and supportable software solutionsAbility to develop unbiased options and recommendations to technical problems and unbiased comparisonsStrong problem-solving and analysis skillsStrong traits of decisiveness and judgmentExcellent documentation skillsPreferred Qualifications Background in MicroService Architecture with Spring BootBig Data/Data Analytics – MongoDB, Casandra, TeraData or similarAutomated testing frameworks - Cucumber, Gherkin or SimilarCloud Computing – Vmware Tonzu, GCP or similarUser Interface Design and Development – REACT, Angular or SimilarDev OPS - CI/CD PipelineKotlin and DockerKafka or other event streaming platform.Experience working in environment with regulatory compliance requirements (HIPAA, PCI, etc.)Previous experience in PBM / health care industryUnderstanding of security implications of domainDesire to work in management and lead othersMinimum Physical Job Requirements Ability to travel up to 5% of the timeAbility to work a flexible schedule including weekends and shifts outside of Prime's core business hours of 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
