Individuals should be interested in working FULL-TIME while establishing a full case load for treatment for clients seeking individual and group psychotherapy. Talk Work Heal Health & Wellness, Inc. is a privately owned outpatient community based mental health practice located in Henrico County, VA.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site role for a Resident in Counseling at our Henrico County, VA location. The Resident will provide direct mental health services to individuals, couples, and groups, utilizing client-centered, evidence-based approaches. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, maintaining accurate and confidential documentation, and collaborating with colleagues to ensure high-quality care. The Resident will also participate in regular supervision sessions to meet licensure requirements and engage in professional development opportunities. This role requires full-time availability (35–40 hours per week), including approximately 25 client sessions and up to 15 hours for administrative tasks, documentation, and supervision. Candidates must reside within 45 minutes of the office. The role requires working in-office during the probationary period, with potential for a hybrid schedule (50% in-office, 50% remote) thereafter. Flexibility in scheduling is expected to accommodate client needs.QualificationsMaster’s degree in Counseling from an approved 60-credit programEligible for licensure as a Resident in Counseling in VirginiaExperience (graduate or post-graduate) in counseling or mental health settings, including treating depression and anxiety, conducting intakes, and DSM-based diagnostic work under supervision (preferred)Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and active listening skillsCommitment to ethical standards, confidentiality, and professional guidelinesAbility to collaborate in a team environment and work independentlyProficiency in documentation and record-keepingUnrestricted license status with the Virginia Board of Health ProfessionsPlease note: This position is for an LMHP-R (Licensed Mental Health Professional – Resident). Applicants seeking social work supervision (MSW/LMSW) are not eligible for this role, as our practice does not have LCSW supervisors available.
