Job Description Production Manager – Automotive ManufacturingLocation: Plymouth, MIJob Type: Full-TimeIndustry: Automotive Manufacturing / Tier 1 SupplierCompensation: Competitive base salary + bonus potentialJob SummaryDeepview is supporting a leading automotive manufacturing facility in Plymouth, MI seeking a Production Manager to lead plant-floor production operations in a fast-paced automotive assembly environment.This role is ideal for a hands-on manufacturing leader with experience managing supervisors, driving daily production performance, improving efficiency, and supporting safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people development.Key ResponsibilitiesLead daily production operations across assigned manufacturing/assembly areasManage, coach, and develop production supervisors, team leads, and hourly associatesDrive safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity performanceSupport daily production schedules, labor planning, manpower needs, and floor executionMonitor KPIs including downtime, scrap, efficiency, OEE, labor utilization, and production outputPartner with quality, maintenance, engineering, materials, HR, and plant leadership to resolve issuesSupport continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, 5S, standardized work, and root cause problem solvingEnsure production teams are meeting customer requirements and internal performance targetsHelp develop strong accountability, communication, and leadership discipline across the production floorSupport launch activity, customer demands, and high-volume manufacturing expectationsQualificationsProduction leadership experience in a manufacturing environmentAutomotive, Tier 1, assembly, plastics, lighting, or high-volume manufacturing experience preferredExperience leading supervisors, team leads, and hourly production teamsStrong understanding of plant operations, labor planning, production flow, quality, and deliveryAbility to work in a fast-paced environment with changing prioritiesStrong communication, problem-solving, and people leadership skillsLean manufacturing, continuous improvement, root cause analysis, and KPI management experience preferredBachelor's degree preferred, but strong hands-on manufacturing leadership experience will be consideredIdeal BackgroundCandidates may have held titles such as:Production ManagerManufacturing ManagerOperations ManagerAssembly ManagerArea ManagerShift ManagerBusiness Unit ManagerValue Stream ManagerProduction SuperintendentWhy This OpportunityThis is a strong opportunity for a production leader who enjoys being close to the floor, developing teams, improving performance, and helping a high-volume automotive operation execute at a high level.ApplyQualified candidates are encouraged to apply with an updated resume.
