IT Project Manager

MGT is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager for a client engagement within the public transportation industry. This role will lead multiple enhancement initiatives for a recently implemented Fare Collection System supporting both bus and light rail operations.The selected candidate will manage a combination of operational improvement projects and larger strategic initiatives focused on payment modernization, reporting and analytics enhancements, and improved rider experience capabilities.This position requires strong project leadership skills, enterprise software implementation experience, and the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple stakeholder groups, vendors, and technical teams.Key ResponsibilitiesLead implementation and enhancement projects for enterprise fare collection and payment systemsManage project scope, schedules, budgets, risks, and deliverablesCoordinate with business stakeholders, technical teams, and third-party vendorsDrive software implementation and operational improvement initiativesSupport enhancements related to payment options, reporting capabilities, and customer experience improvementsFacilitate communication across multiple organizations and stakeholder groupsEnsure projects are delivered on time and aligned with operational objectivesRequired Qualifications5+ years of experience leading IT projects as a Project ManagerExperience managing enterprise IT projects with budgets exceeding $5MProven experience with software implementation projectsStrong vendor management and stakeholder coordination skillsExperience using project management tools and methodologiesExcellent communication and organizational skillsProven track record of delivering projects on schedulePreferred QualificationsPMI PMP CertificationExperience with payment systems, payment card processing, or EMV technologiesPublic transportation or transit technology experienceExperience supporting customer-facing technology platformsBackground in enterprise system enhancements or digital transformation initiativesPreferred BackgroundCandidates with experience in transportation technology, payment systems, SaaS implementations, enterprise system deployments, or public sector IT environments are highly encouraged to apply.If you are interested in learning more about this opportunity, please apply with your updated resume for immediate consideration.
