Position: Tool Keeper Location: Palisades Energy Holtec Palisades seeks qualified applicants for the position of Tool Keeper in its Maintenance department based at Palisades Nuclear Power Plant in Covert, MI. Palisades is positioned to become the first nuclear power plant in the United States to restart after previously entering the early stages of decommissioning. Job Summary: Conducts the inventory, inspection, repair, rebuilding, and issue of hand tools, power tools, special tools, equipment, and M&TE. Key Responsibilities: Ensures compliance with industrial and radiation safety requirements. Analyzes tool usage requirements. Recommends purchase of replacement tools. Implements and performs preventive maintenance on hand tools, power tools, special tools, rigging, and lifting equipment. Serves as a member of the Emergency Response Organization. Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent. Related vocational, trade school, apprentice program, or equivalent military training. Technical understanding of tool use and operation. Desired: Experience in nuclear power plant maintenance. Desired: Ability to make semi-technical calculations; Ability to use required tools and equipment and possess capability to make complex repairs and adjustments on plant tools and lifting equipment; Communicate technical information, concepts, and ideas verbally and in writing; Familiarity with company safety rules.
