From stock items to the design and production of custom parts and machinery, our five divisions provide the solutions and support you need every step of the way.We are currently looking to expand our engineering team and add a new Manufacturing Engineer to our White Bear Lake facility. The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for manufacturing procedures, methods, and processes designed to maximize utilization of labor, material, equipment, and improve production efficiencies.Essential Duties and Responsibilities Program and prepare setup files for CNC Machines to include Swiss, Multi Spindle and Multi TurretServe as a key contact for manufacturing support, problem-solving, and training personnel on best practices.Prepare and maintain detailed process layouts and related equipment documentation.Prepare testing and justification to support process, equipment and material changes.Designs, procures, and fabricates equipment tooling and fixtures.Performs troubleshooting on existing products/process problems as related to design, material, or processes.Collaborate with management, engineering, production, sales, planning, and design teams to align capabilities, schedules, and tooling for efficient, high-quality production.Design, develop, test, and/or source tools, machinery, and equipment; cost-justify purchases and work with vendors to meet specifications and quality standards.Apply statistical methods and perform product/process analysis to reduce costs, improve quality, and enhance efficiency.Represent manufacturing/engineering on cross-functional teams.Optimize manual, semi-automated, and fully automated processes by collaborating with operators and team leaders to enhance machine productionUtilizing data analysis tools, recommend and implement measurable improvements to manufacturing processes.Provide technical support and guidance to manufacturing teams.Create manufacturing estimates for sale proposals, from engineering documentation/modelsCreate machining processes for new products. This includes determining sequences of operation, calculating ideal feed and speed rates, and designing fixturing and toolingPerform other duties as required to meet business or customer needs.Qualifications: High school diploma or GED equivalent requiredBachelor's degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering, highly preferred3-5 years manufacturing experience, preferably in an engineering capacityKnowledge of ISO standards, Lean Manufacturing, and Theory of ConstraintsProficient in CAD/CAM software (Virtual Gibbs, or Esprit)Proven experience with machine tooling design and supportQuality-focused with excellent attention to detailSolid understanding of mechanical principles, machining practices, automation, and metal propertiesStrong analytical, problem solving and project management skillsDemonstrated leadership capability in team settingsAbility to lead and motivate peers, drive change and problem solve with creativityCompensation and BenefitsExpected Compensation Range: $75,000- $110,000/ yearSpecialty Manufacturing is providing the compensation range that the company, in good faith, believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.Specialty Mfg. provides a comprehensive suite of benefits including, but not limited to: MedicalDentalVisionSTD/LTDLife InsuranceProfit SharingPaid Vacation and Wellness BenefitsSpecialty Mfg. operates an onsite work environment where employees are expected to work in the office 5 days per week.Powered by JazzHR
