Within an hour's travel time, Yosemite, Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks can be enjoyed.\nJob Summary:\nAdministers radiopharmaceuticals or radiation intravenously to detect or treat diseases, using radioisotope equipment. Administers medical substances for imaging or other procedures. Performs screening procedures for diagnostic interpretation. Coordinates patient flow and maintains procedure quality control.\nJob Requirements:\n\nEducation and Work Experience:\n\nDiploma/certificate from an accredited school of Nuclear Medicine: Required\nBachelor's Degree in nuclear medicine technology or equivalent: Preferred\n \n\n\nLicenses/Certifications:\n\nState Nuclear Medicine License: Required in CA and HI\nRegistered by the American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT) in Nuclear Medicine OR Certified by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist: Required in CA and OR\nVenipuncture certification: Required in CA and HI\n \n\n\nFacility Specific License/Certifications:\n\nAHA-BLS or ARC-BLS: Required\nAmerican Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or National Nuclear Med Tech (NMTCB): Required\nVenipuncture (IV) certification: Required\n \n\n\nEssential Functions:\n\nPrepares, administers, and measures radioactive isotopes in therapeutic, diagnostic, and tracer studies using a variety of radioisotope equipment. Prepares stock solutions of radioactive materials and calculates doses to be administered by radiologists. Subjects patients to radiation. Executes blood volume, red cell survival, and fat absorption studies following standard laboratory techniques. Administers intravenous injections in accordance with established procedures.\nPerforms screening procedures for diagnostic interpretation.\nDocuments all pertinent information regarding radioactive materials and surveys in accordance with departmental procedures.\nObtains pertinent patient information and disseminates subsequent patient preparation instructions to patient care areas.\nElevates questions, problems and significant challenges to more senior staff for direction or subject matter expertise.\nPerforms other job-related duties as assigned.\n \n$10,000 Sign-On Incentive for eligible rehires and external hires that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment.\n\n\nOrganizational Requirements:\nAdventist Health is committed to the safety and wellbeing of our associates and patients.
