Pediatric Physical Therapist
An inclusive early learning center serving children of all abilities from infancy through age five, including VPK, is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist. This role provides evaluation and treatment services to support the physical development, mobility, and functional independence of young children within an educational setting. The Physical Therapist collaborates closely with families, teachers, and interdisciplinary staff to help each child reach their fullest potential.
Part-time or PRN availability.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct physical therapy evaluations, re-evaluations, and treatment sessions based on physician orders and evidence-based practices.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve gross motor skills, mobility, strength, and functional participation in the classroom. Develop and lead gross motor groups, as needed.
Maintain timely, accurate documentation and submit required reports for Early Intervention Programs (EIP), Medicaid, and commercial insurance.
Assist in the completion of Developmental Screenings.
Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding therapy goals, progress, and strategies, including home programs and caregiver education.
Collaborate with classroom teachers and DLC staff to integrate physical therapy strategies into daily classroom activities.
Recommend, adjust, and maintain adaptive and rehabilitation equipment to support individual student needs.
Stay current with physical therapy research, best practices, and continuing education requirements.
Perform other related duties as assigned by the Director of Therapy.
Education and Experience
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program (DPT preferred).
Current Florida Physical Therapist license in good standing.
Pediatric and/or school-based experience preferred.
Medicaid provider number and NPI preferred.
Current CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain).

Physical Demands
Frequent standing, walking, bending, and kneeling.
Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 80 pounds.
Ability to perform visual tasks requires close, distance, and depth perception.
Additional Requirements
Successful completion of DCF/AHCA background screening.
Compliance with all state and federal regulations.
The Physical Therapist is a part-time, PRN opportunity, in person (not virtual), located on the Westside of Jacksonville. The salary range is $35 to $40 per hour based on experience.
Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
