Statutory Accountant

A company is looking for a Statutory Accountant to support statutory and regulatory accounting within an insurance environment. Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare monthly and quarterly reconciliations and reports, and complete regulatory filings Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring data accuracy and resolving discrepancies Analyze general ledger account balances, prepare journal entries, and ensure compliance with GAAP and Statutory Accounting PrinciplesRequired QualificationsMinimum of 3 years experience in accounting, including statutory accounting Understanding of accounting principles and their application Knowledge and experience in the insurance industry BA/BS in Accounting or equivalent work experience Preferred knowledge of general ledger maintenance and related processes
