Visit at www.bakerhughes.comFuel your passionAs a Segment Public Relations Senior Specialist, you will play a critical role in shaping Baker Hughes’ external communications at the segment level. You will develop high‑quality content, manage media relations, support crisis communications, and collaborate across functions to ensure consistent, aligned, and impactful messaging.You will work closely with segment leadership, brand, marketing, and external partners to deliver integrated PR programs that reinforce Baker Hughes’ leadership in energy technology and industrial innovation.In this role, you will be:Drafting and editing diverse communication materials, including press releases, external messaging, and media briefs in accordance with AP StyleEnsuring all content aligns with brand guidelines, enterprise narrative, and strategic objectivesOwning KPI measurement and analyzing data (reach, SOV, campaign metrics) to drive insights and inform decisionsProviding administrative support to the PR & Media Relations function, including budget tracking, subscription management, and coverage reportingDeveloping and implementing strategic communication plans, including pitching stories to global and trade mediaServing as a primary point of contact for media inquiries and coordinating accurate, consistent responsesSupporting the organization in managing reputation during sensitive issues or crisesCollaborating with leadership to align media efforts with corporate goals, including managing media lists and monitoring coveragePreparing media briefings for interviews and leadership engagementsBuilding and nurturing relationships with journalists, reporters, and media influencersAs a Segment Public Relations Senior Specialist, you will be responsible for:PR Strategy & Content DevelopmentDrafting and editing high‑quality communication materials across multiple formatsEnsuring all messaging aligns with brand standards, enterprise priorities, and AP StyleSupporting integrated communication planning across campaigns, announcements, and corporate initiativesMedia Relations & StorytellingPitching stories to global and trade media to secure meaningful coverageServing as a primary point of contact for media inquiries and coordinating accurate, timely responsesBuilding and maintaining strong relationships with journalists, reporters, and industry influencersPreparing media briefings, talking points, and interview materialsPerformance Measurement & ReportingOwning KPI tracking and analyzing PR performance metrics to generate actionable insightsMonitoring media coverage and maintaining accurate reporting dashboardsUsing data to inform strategy, optimize messaging, and strengthen media engagementCrisis & Issues ManagementSupporting the organization in managing reputation during sensitive issues or crisesMaintaining a calm, professional approach when navigating high‑pressure situationsAligning crisis responses with legal, compliance, and enterprise communications teamsCross‑Functional CollaborationCollaborating with segment leadership to align PR efforts with business goalsPartnering with internal teams, agencies, and vendors to ensure alignment and timely executionFacilitating approvals and stakeholder engagement across functionsTo be successful in this role you will:Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related fieldHave 6–8 years of experience in media relations, PR, or corporate communicationsHave demonstrate strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with mastery of AP StyleBring proven experience in proactive pitching and crisis managementHave been able to manage multiple projects under pressure while meeting deadlinesHave demonstrate strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to inform decisionsHave provide strategic PR counsel and effectively manage client needs and challengesHave foster positive stakeholder relationships and facilitate cross‑functional collaborationHave to maintain a calm, professional approach to conflict and crisis communicationsHave to be familiar with AI‑assisted tools for content drafting, compliance checks, and workflow efficiencyKey Skills & CompetenciesPR strategy and executionMedia relations and storytellingCrisis and issues managementStrong writing and editorial excellence (AP Style)Stakeholder influence across matrixed environmentsAnalytical and data‑driven decision‑makingAbility to balance governance with hands‑on executionStrong problem‑solving and prioritization skillsContinuous improvement mindsetCommitment to leveraging digital and AI tools in daily workWork in a way that works for youWe recognize that everyone works differently.
