Apply via Dice today!Technical LeadershipDefine and drive technical strategy for data engineering within Cloud & Platform SecurityArchitect end-to-end data platforms supporting security telemetry, risk analytics, and compliance reportingEstablish engineering standards and best practices across data ingestion, transformation, storage, and access controlOwn and communicate key architecture decisions and tradeoffsAccountable for BAU vulnerability work inclusive of triaging, tracking routine patches, and SLA tracking.They will need to familiarize themselves with the firms scanning tools and processes, triaging vulnerabilities, communicating status, guiding system owners in remediation, updating cases, reviewing system owner comments and requests.VM Analyst will also be required to develop deep operational expertise of the platform in order to mature and improve the platform determine possible future automation needs and work with the dev team to fix bugs, test fixes in QA, and streamline the processes via the platform.These resources must also be able to explain and present the VM process and tool usage to system owners.These resources should be specifically prepared for zeroday response and bypass of normal patch SLAsThe response window compresses to mere hours inclusive of Weekend and Holiday times.These resources will be expected to be part of the on call schedule representative of their timezones and ensure appropriate follow the sun hand off of an active issue.Solution Design & ProblemSolving Partner with security, engineering, product, and compliance stakeholders to translate complex requirements into scalable solutionsDecompose ambiguous challenges into structured, actionable technical designsLead discovery and requirements definition to ensure solutions address root problemsExecution & DeliveryLead design and development of scalable cloudbased data platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform)Build and maintain systems handling high volume security data (logs, alerts, audit trails, telemetry)Ensure strong data quality, observability, governance, and performance across platformsTeam Leadership & CollaborationMentor and guide engineers through code reviews, design sessions, and technical coachingDrive a culture of engineering excellence, accountability, and continuous improvementAct as a technical advisor in architecture reviews and cross functional planningPartner with stakeholders to ensure secure, scalable, and reusable solutionsRequired Qualifications:7+ years of experience in software or data engineering, vulnerability, technology security operations or response functions.Experience in a technical lead or team leadership roleProven ability to translate complex business and security challenges into scalable technical solutionsExperience building data platforms/products that deliver actionable insights to end usersHandson experience designing and operating largescale cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)Vulnerability management knowledgeVulnerability Scanning tooling knowledgeCVSS / EPSS / exploitabilityOS/app patching ecosystemscloud vs on Prem differencesscripting / automation ? threat intel integrationPreferred SkillsExperience building security focused or developer facing platformsFamiliarity with vulnerability management data (e.g., CVE, CVSS, EPSS) and prioritization methodologiesExperience in cloud security, platform security, application security, or similar domainsExperience with largescale data engineering and cloud native servicesBackground working in regulated environments
