Director of Home Care

FLSA: Exempt Hire Pay: $85,000 annual salary Classification: Full time JOB DESCRIPTION: The Director of Home Care is responsible for planning, directing and managing the overall operations of home care services. Directs the development and start-up of new home care services and monitors the financial performance and the quality of services provided. Ensures services comply with all regulatory requirements and accreditation standards. JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for developing and start-up of all worksite home care agencies across the state. Oversees the management of all home care service providers. Educates all staff members about state, federal, and accreditation requirements (as applicable). Maintains compliance with all local, state, and federal laws regarding licensure and certification. Analyzes trends and initiates appropriate plans of action. Ensuring adequate staffing and recruiting qualified job candidates Managing office operations and adopting relevant policies to ensure quality and adherence to industry regulations. Directs weekly business development and management team meetings with all appropriate staff to promote home care services. Represent the agency in the community, promote services, and engage with community resources. Interpret operational indicators to detect census changes adjusting staff levels, revenues, or expenses accordingly. Analyze data from performance markers to evaluate productivity, cost analysis, and quality care delivery. Stay informed about new CMS program initiatives and disseminate knowledge to relevant parties. Plans and works toward standardized operating procedures among clinic agency locations including scheduling and referrals, information systems, patient accounting, and invoicing. Provides leadership planning for staff education programs, administrative/staff meetings, and in-services, and encourages continuous education and staff development for all team members. Oversee financial performance for each branch; manage the budget and oversee billing processes. Ensure the quality and safe delivery of home health services provided through the Organization. Set positive, attainable expectations, objectives, and goals for the agency. Handles necessary employee corrective action and discipline issues objectively, in consultation with HR. Uses knowledge, experience, and other resources as necessary to make logical decisions, solve problems, analyze work processes, and make suggestions for improvement. Collaborates with the company CEO, and HR Director in the implementation of operations standards and processes. Stay informed about changes in home care and share relevant information with appropriate organization personnel. Ensure the agency meets all Medicare and state regulations. Ensure each branch is prepared for on-site surveys and other external audits. Perform other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Demonstrated ability to successfully lead, supervise and direct professional administrative personnel. Ability to handle high levels of stress in a fast-paced environment. Excellent observation, organization, verbal, and written communication skills. Proficient in Computers, Microsoft (MS) Suite, EMR, and technology preferred. Knowledge of business management, governmental regulations, Provide excellent customer service skills. Must have good problem solving and decision-making skills. Must have strong leadership and managerial skills. Must have good negotiation and persuasion skills. Must have good conflict resolution skills. SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED: Receives supervision from the Agency Administrator and CEO. WORKING CONDITIONS: The principal duties of this position are to perform in an indoor and outdoor environment. 70% of traveling required. ALCOHOL AND DRUG TESTING POLICY: This position is subject to pre-employment drug testing. DLP Home Care, LLC has a Drug Free Workplace Policy which includes Post-Accident Testing, Random Testing, and/or Reasonable Suspicion Testing. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration. Minimum 5 years of healthcare administrator experience. Strong knowledge of medical terminology and regulations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Problem solver with excellent time management and organizational skills. Bi-lingual is a plus.
