Kennywood's rich history spans generations of good times and extends beyond the traditional summer season with popular Halloween and Holiday events.We Are Currently Looking For A:Kennywood - Electrician AssistantRoles & Responsibilities:The Electrician Assistant provides support to the maintenance team to ensure a successful park operation. This position is guest facing and also has consistent interaction with all team members in order to complete tasks in a timely manner.Roles & Responsibilities:Assist with repair and maintenance of park property.Assist in helping manage the daily electrical maintenance of the rides, attraction, food stand, stages, and CCTV throughout facility.Assist the full time Electrician team members with maintenance and clean-up for assigned electrical jobs.Maintain all storage areas, shops, and mechanical areas in a clean, safe, organized, and secure mannerMaintain compliance with company and industry best practices, policies, and procedures to create a safe environment for colleagues and guestsAssist all other Maintenance and trades team members with completing maintenance projectsPromptly notify maintenance and/or park leadership of any escalated maintenance issues or safety hazardsPerform duties in other areas or departments of the park, as requestedSafely operate company owned trucks, forklifts, and other equipment, as neededSafely and effectively utilize standard electrical maintenance equipment and hand tools, vehicles, hydraulic benders, ladders and scaffolding, electrical testing equipment, welding equipment, torches, park rides, telephone, hand-held two-way radio, and manlift/forkliftAll other duties and projects assigned by Maintenance or Park leadershipEducation And Experience:High School diploma or equivalent preferred; Equivalent work experience will also be consideredVocational, Trade school, or other technical certification is a plus1+ years of previous work experience in a maintenance, electrical, or related role preferred, but not requiredLanguage: Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English; Spanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus.Requirements: Must be at least 18 years of age to comply with Pennsylvania Child Labor LawsAbility to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, open to closeMust have reliable transportation to and from work for your scheduled shiftMust possess a valid driver’s license and a good driving recordMust be safety conscious and adhere to all safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required.Ability to interact with other team members, guests, contractors, and suppliers in a positive, professional mannerWillingness to learn more and become an expert of the electrician tradeAbility to troubleshoot clearly, calmly, accurately, and safely in the presence of guests and fellow team members.Ability to read and comprehend ride maintenance manuals, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawingsA general understanding of standard maintenance practices and procedures for electrical, carpentry, and plumbing trades, a plusPrevious experience with welding and soldering techniques, a plusAbility to follow direction, multi-task, and work as part of a team as well as independentlyPhysical Requirements:Ability to stand, walk, and remain on feet for extended periods of time during the dayAbility to frequently stoop, twist, kneel, bend, squat, or reach above shouldersAbility to carry, push, pull, lift, and hold objects weighing 100 pounds or moreAbility to work in awkward positions which can cause physical discomfort and strainAbility to work in all non-conventional areas of the property, including in confined spaces or above ground-level, on scaffolds, ladders, and manliftsAbility to consistently use hands to grasp, control, move objects/toolsAbility to see differences between colors and brightnessAbility to see details of objects that are more than a few feet awayWorking Conditions:Frequent interaction with all outdoor and indoor areas of the parkFrequent exposure to the variable outside temperatures, including high heat, cold, direct sun, humidity, dust, rain, snow, ice, and other weather conditionsFrequent exposure to electrical currents and high voltage electricitySubject to working at significant heights, reaching over 100 feet above ground levelSubject to constant repetitive motion, very high noise levels, vibrations, machinery, motorized equipment, and vehiclesSubject to the handling of and exposure to dust, dirt, grease, oils, chemicals, detergents, and cleanersTeam Member Benefits:Working at Kennywood is about making people happy.
