Job Summary:The Compliance Specialist reports directly to the Senior Director of Compliance and Privacy and provides operational support for the Company’s Compliance Program. This position assists with monitoring, education, documentation, and implementation activities designed to promote adherence to applicable federal and state laws, regulations, and internal policies. The Compliance Specialist is expected to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive, proprietary, and protected information and to conduct all activities consistent with the Company’s Code of Conduct, Compliance Program, and non-retaliation principles.Duties/Responsibilities:Provide operational and administrative support for the Company’s Compliance Program, including assistance with the development, implementation, and ongoing monitoring of the seven elements of an Effective Compliance Program, as outlined by the Office of Inspector General (OIG).Assist with monitoring compliance with applicable federal and state laws, regulations, accreditation standards, and internal policies related to corporate operations and franchised locations.Serve as a compliance resource to corporate leadership and franchised locations by maintaining effective working relationships and providing support on compliance‑related matters, as requested.Support franchised locations in maintaining their local Compliance Programs, as applicable, consistent with corporate compliance guidance.Assist with maintaining compliance‑related policies, procedures, templates, and supporting documentation, including version control, tracking, and periodic review activities.Support compliance recordkeeping and documentation efforts, including training records, investigation files, corrective action plans, risk logs, and program metrics.Support the coordination, tracking, and maintenance of compliance‑related education and training activities, including new hire and annual training requirements.Monitor and assist with tracking emerging compliance risks, regulatory changes, enforcement trends, and industry best practices, escalating issues and trends to leadership as appropriate.Assist with compliance monitoring and auditing activities, including data collection, tracking findings, maintaining audit tools or logs, and supporting follow‑up activities.Support the development, tracking, and reporting of compliance initiatives, corrective actions, and performance metrics for internal leadership and compliance governance purposes.Assist with the intake, review, documentation, and coordination of compliance‑related questions or concerns, including support for investigations and follow‑up activities, as directed.Provide support for privacy and confidentiality initiatives, including assisting with documentation, tracking, and coordination related to privacy concerns or incidents, as requested.Assist with preparing compliance‑related reports, summaries, dashboards, or materials for leadership or Compliance Committee review.Provide administrative and logistical support for compliance‑related meetings, including preparation of agendas, materials, meeting documentation, and follow‑up tracking.Perform other compliance‑related support duties as assigned, consistent with the scope of the position.Required Skills/Abilities:Experience or exposure to clinical operations, quality assurance, compliance, and/or accreditation functions.Ability to assist with organizing, coordinating, and supporting education and training initiatives.Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders.Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.Strong organizational, analytical, and documentation skills.Ability to adapt to a changing regulatory environment and manage multiple priorities.Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.Ability to recognize issues requiring escalation and follow established reporting pathways.Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.Education and Experience:Bachelor’s degree, Nursing degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.At least one (1) year of experience in a clinical, pharmacy, healthcare, or regulated healthcare environment.Certification or coursework in compliance, healthcare, or privacy (e.g., CHC, CHPC) preferred, but not required.Physical Requirements:Sitting: Prolonged periods of sitting are typical, often for the majority of the workday.Keyboarding: Frequent use of a keyboard for typing and data entry.Reaching: Occasionally reaching for items such as files, documents, or office supplies.Fine Motor Skills: Precise movements of the fingers and hands for tasks like typing, using a mouse, and handling paperwork.Visual Acuity: Good vision for reading documents, computer screens, and other detailed work.Be part of an organization that invests in you!
