Activities Coordinator
The Residence at Dania Beach - Duties and Responsibilities:Plans, schedules, implements and evaluates program of individual/or group activities based on resident's needAssist with escorting residents to and from activitiesMaintains sufficient activity suppliesDevelops monthly Activity CalendarDevelops and maintains a pleasant and pleasing environment in the activities roomAbility to work well with peopleResponsible for coordination, facilitation and quality of the Activities Enrichment ProgramFacilitate group activitiesEncourage activity involvement and chart attendanceAssist in keeping activity supplies clean and organizedAssist with 1 on 1 activities, transport residents to and from activitiesCover the front desk when necessary or when neededAssist with outings and special events and other assigned dutiesQualifications:Diploma or GEDCreativityExperience with Alzheimers/Dementia and special needs is a plus.Ability to self motivateFlexible with schedule, occasional weekends, evenings, and holidays are required.Must be suffiecient connected in the community with potential referrals such as nursing homes and rehab centerMust assist with serving residents meals when neededMust be able to utilize business office machines and computer, as well as utilize basic office sofBenefits:Health insuranceDental insuranceVision insurancePaid time off
