Diagnostic Imaging Physicist - Radiology Health PhysicsPosition DetailsThe Department of Radiology Health Physics at Penn State College of Medicine in Hershey, PA, is seeking a non-tenure track Diagnostic Medical Physicist (Assistant Professor) to support imaging physics across multiple modalities, including radiographic, fluoroscopic, CT, ultrasound, mammographic, MR, and nuclear medicine/PET imaging. Responsibilities include acceptance testing, performance testing, quality assurance, accreditation support, radiation shielding, dosimetry, clinical research, and education of technologists, physicist assistants, residents, and physicians.The ideal candidate holds a graduate degree (MS, DMP, or PhD) in medical physics or related field, with at least two years of clinical experience and board certification or eligibility in Diagnostic Medical Physics from the American Board of Radiology. Excellent organizational, communication, and teamwork skills are essential.Additional InformationEmployment requires background checks, a valid driver’s license, and operation of a motor vehicle as part of job duties.
