Roadway Design Engineer
We’re looking for a skilled Civil Engineer to join our expanding Roadway/Highway design team in Kansas City at our Overland Park office. The ideal candidate for this role will have experience working on local agency and/or DOT roadway design projects. This is a great place to build a career and grow with a company that is dedicated to quality and service as we make a difference in our communities.In this position, the candidate will:Prepare preliminary design plans, documents, and specifications under the guidance of senior engineersConduct analyses and perform standard computations, drawings, and visual aids for projectsMay coordinate work with entry-level engineers, technicians, or other staffCollaborate with the design team to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulationsConduct field inspections to gather relevant data and contribute to site assessmentsUtilize design software and tools for drafting and modelingSupport the development of cost estimates for projectsPerform quality control self-checks of assigned workPerform other duties as assigned.
