Fitter/Welder

Join our dynamic team at Custom Marine, an industrial manufacturer of Aluminum boats in Battleboro, NC. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fitter/Welder to contribute to our production excellence and uphold our commitment to delivering high-quality aluminum plate. Responsibilities: · Interpret and comprehend technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications. · Perform precision fitting and assembly of mechanical components. · Utilize hand tools, welding equipment, and machinery to achieve accurate fits. · Work with the engineering team to ensure product specifications are met. · Troubleshoot and resolve fitting issues to ensure efficient production. · Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work environment. · Collaborate with colleagues to achieve production targets and timelines. · Perform other work-related duties as assigned. Requirements: · High school diploma or GED; classes and/or certifications in engineering and mechanical assembly-related courses · At least 1 year of experience as a Fitter/Welder in an industrial or manufacturing setting. · Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings. · Strong knowledge of fitting techniques, welding, and fabrication processes. · Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and machinery effectively. · Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality work. · Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. · Familiarity with safety regulations and protocols. · Physical fitness to perform tasks that may involve lifting and standing for extended periods. **If you want to work on boats for a career and not just have a job, you are invited to stop by our factory for an informal meeting with the Production Development and Construction Managers.
