Quality Control Lab Technician

Flame Metals is a commercial Heat Treater in Rogers, MN. We are currently looking for an experienced industrial Quality Lab Technician. JOB DUTIES Performs hardness testing. Check/verify testers and record data. Complete part analysis. Performs visual examinations of parts. Determines tempering temperatures. Cuts parts using saws. Measures dimensions of products. Evaluates, verifies and communicates processes throughout the shop. Performs micro hardness on specific parts. Performs certification on all parts prior to shipping and prints certifications. Performs carbon analysis, if required. Evaluates furnace charts to verify process was performed accurately. Ability to train others as needed. Prioritizes Rush jobs as needed. Assists with other tasks as directed by the QC Manager. JOB REQUIREMENTS/EXPERIENCE Proficient in performing basic hardness testing Proficient in completing PPAP's Proficient in performing micro hardness testing Attention to details required Lifting, bending, reaching, standing, sitting Good computer skills Industrial Quality related experience Heat Treating experience a plus Good communication skills needed Job Type: Full-time Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) matching Dental insurance Employee assistance program Flexible spending account Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Experience: Industrial Quality Control: 2 years (Required) Work Location: In person
