Position Overview: Under minimal supervision responsible for providing project oversight to the day-to-day operations of the DUF6 project. The specific work assignment may include duties or activities to support the organization in one or more of the following functional areas, in addition to other duties as assigned:
Functional
Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management
Ensures continued operational readiness of start-up initiative
Reviews, manages, proactively challenges, and controls status of the project's operations of programs and budgets
Manages schedules, and prepares status reports
Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives
Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, clients and other stakeholders
Evaluates alternatives including cost and risk, supportability and analyses for total systems
Provides oversight on the review and approval of work including modifications
Guides and leads the team in achieving the goals of the program including issue identification, resolution and contingency planning
Oversees the maintenance of training and qualifications for personnel on assigned projects
Interfaces with operations management and other disciplines, site personnel, and/or external organizations to meet project requirements
Job Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
10+ years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required
4+ years of nuclear experience
Ability to obtain and maintain a Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12 (HSPD-12) credential
