Job Description Well-established Cardiology practice in South Tampa seeking to hire a Nurse Practitioner.We are looking for a professional who is a life-long learner who takes pride in delivering high quality patient care with a deep empathy and understanding of the needs of the patient.We are interested in candidates with excellent bedside manners, strong work ethics and a commitment to working as part of a team to expand the reach and scope of our current practice.Applicants must possess an active Florida Nurse Practitioner license and be prepared to assume responsibilities immediately.EXPERIENCECardiology with or without vascular experience (2 years preferred)EMR systems such as EPIC, Patient Keeper and MeditechHospital RoundsNurse Practitioner: 1 year (Preferred)LICENSELicensed in the state of Florida - Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)COMPANY CULTUREDetail-oriented -- quality and precision-focusedPeople-oriented -- supportive and fairness-focusedTeam-oriented -- cooperative and collaborativeTHE IDEAL CANDIDATEApplicants must be Florida residents currently residing in the Tampa Bay area or surrounding communities.Applicants must possess an active Florida Nurse Practitioner license and be prepared to assume responsibilities immediately.Clinical professional who demonstrates a passion for our mission, and who takes pride in delivering world class patient care in a collaborative, learning environment.The successful candidate will be a superior communicator, an engaged team member, and a knowledgeable, patient focused provider.Ability to manage the practice independently and does not require constant supervision.RESPONSIBILITIESCorrelates subjective and objective data to formulate a differential or working diagnosis.Formulates treatment plans for medical conditions within scope of practice.Prescribing medication and other treatments when appropriate, within the scope of practice.Documents patient care in accordance with medical staff rulesOrdering, performing, and interpreting lab work and other diagnostic tests.Maintaining detailed patient records and chartsDiagnosing and treating acute and chronic conditionsManaging patients' overall careEducating patients and families on disease prevention and positive health and lifestyle choicesEstablish rapport with patients to encourage a strong therapeutic relationship.Update patient records in a timely manner, and check records for accuracy at each patient&#39;s appointment; documentation must be accurate and appropriately comprehensive.Perform a relevant clinical interview and physical examination at each patient visit.Review incoming labs, radiology reports and consultations.Serve as the resource patients seek for ongoing care information, counseling, and guidance.Provide advice on personalized health habits and practices for patients.Provide referrals to specialists when required.Assist the supervising physician in expanding services provided by the office.Credentials and QualificationsMaster&#39;s degreeGraduate of an accredited Advanced Practice Registered NurseActive Florida APRN license and national certification by the appropriate accreditation body.Active BLS and ACLSPrevious specific experience in cardiology preferred.
