Process Technician
Process TechnicianOversees a group of injection molding machines in a new manufacturing plant, managing the complete lifecycle of plastic parts from machine start-up through final inspection. This role focuses on process start-ups, troubleshooting, adjustments, and first-piece inspections, while also supporting mold changes to ensure consistent, high-quality production for automotive carpeted products.Job ResponsibilitiesOversee and manage the operation of multiple injection molding machines, ensuring consistent and efficient productionHandle the complete process of each part from initial machine start-up through to inspection and approvalPerform all machine start-ups in accordance with established process sheets and quality standardsRead, interpret, and apply process sheets to set up and run injection molding processes correctlyConduct process troubleshooting to identify and resolve production issues, including quality and efficiency concernsMake process adjustments as needed to maintain part quality, cycle times, and machine performancePerform first part inspections to verify conformance to specifications before releasing the process to productionAssist with mold changes, including safely changing dies and preparing machines for new production runsMonitor machine performance and proactively address issues to minimize downtime and scrapEssential SkillsAt least 3 years of hands-on injection mold processing experienceProven ability to perform mold changes and change dies safely and efficientlyDemonstrated experience with process start-up and troubleshooting for injection moldingAbility to read, understand, and use process sheets in daily operationsStrong knowledge of plastics processing and injection molding principlesProficiency in identifying process-related issues and implementing effective adjustmentsThis is a permanent position based out of Port Huron, MI. The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $32.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
