School Speech Language Pathologist/ Teacher of Speech Language Impaired
This contract position requires a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution and current certification from ASHA, along with a valid Michigan SLP license or Michigan teaching certification with appropriate endorsement for TSLI. Experience in urban public schools is a plus but not mandatory.Essential duties include evaluating students for special education eligibility, interpreting findings, developing and modifying IEP goals, creating a supportive learning environment, and counseling students, parents, and staff on communication disorders. The role involves collaboration with teams, participating in MTSS and RtI efforts, maintaining compliance with special education regulations, and managing accurate records.This is a flexible, contract-based role suitable for retired speech pathologists, with small caseloads, available full or part-time during school hours, paying $50-$60/hour. The position entails in-person work and includes responsibilities such as attending staff meetings, providing training, and performing other duties as assigned.
