Lead Structural Engineer

A nationally recognized engineering and construction management firm is seeking a Lead Structural Engineer to support major transportation infrastructure projects throughout the New York metropolitan area.This leadership role will be responsible for providing technical oversight on complex structural engineering assignments, managing project delivery efforts, mentoring engineering staff, and supporting business development initiatives related to transportation and public-sector projects.Key Responsibilities:• Lead structural engineering and design efforts for transportation-related projects• Provide technical guidance and quality oversight to project teams• Serve as a client-facing representative on agency projects• Support proposal development, pursuits, and strategic business development efforts• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project delivery• Mentor and develop junior and mid-level engineering staffQualifications:• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering• Professional Engineer (PE) license required• 10+ years of structural engineering experience, preferably within transportation infrastructure• Experience working with DOT, bridge, highway, transit, or other public-sector projects• Proven ability to manage technical teams and contribute to project pursuits• Strong communication and client relationship management skills
