Outside Sales Representative
The Opportunity
* This is a "Hunter" role selling essential supply chain solutions (custom pallets, recycling, and logistics management) to large-scale manufacturers and distributors.
Location: Memphis, TN (In-office when not out in the field on calls)
Territory: ~150-mile radius around Memphis and Nashville, TN.
Compensation & Benefits
* Annual Base Salary: $52,000 - $60,000 (Negotiable for the right person with significant experience).
* Car Allowance: $9,600 annually ($800 per month).
* Commission: 0.75% of every sale (uncapped).
* On-Target Earnings (OTE): Top performers have historically earned ~$200k/year. A strong hunter can reasonably expect to reach this level within 12-18 months.
* Sales Cycle: ~2 months for large accounts; mid-size deals typically average $500k in annual spend.
Key Responsibilities
* Hunting & Closing: Focus is primarily on "hunt, gather, close."
* Account Management: Once a deal is closed, reps earn commission indefinitely on the account. They will handle high-level service/quality issues, while Inside Sales handles the day-to-day order processing.
* Training Period: New hires will be given "house accounts" to manage initially to learn the product and industry (at a reduced commission rate).
* CRM: Utilize Salesforce to track leads and ensure no overlap with the Nashville-based team.
