Automation Technician

Automation TechnicianA growing manufacturing and distribution operation is seeking an Automation Technician to support the maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of automated equipment and control systems within a fast-paced production environment.This position will work closely with maintenance, engineering, and operations teams to help maximize equipment performance, minimize downtime, and support ongoing operational improvements.Responsibilities• Troubleshoot and repair automated equipment and control systems• Support maintenance activities on PLC-controlled equipment• Assist with diagnosing electrical, mechanical, and control-related issues• Perform preventive maintenance on automation and production equipment• Support equipment startups, modifications, and improvement projects• Read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation• Partner with maintenance and operations teams to resolve equipment issues• Assist with identifying opportunities to improve reliability and efficiency• Maintain accurate maintenance and repair documentation• Follow all safety policies and proceduresPreferred Background• Experience troubleshooting industrial equipment in a manufacturing, distribution, or industrial environment• Exposure to PLCs, HMIs, sensors, drives, or automated systems• Basic understanding of electrical and control systems• Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams• Experience performing preventive maintenance and equipment repairs• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills• Ability to work independently and as part of a teamAdditional Details• Full-time opportunity• Competitive compensation and benefits package• Opportunity to work with modern automation and production equipment• Growth potential within a stable and expanding operation• Relocation assistance may be available based on experienceKey SkillsAutomation | PLC Troubleshooting | Electrical Maintenance | Industrial Maintenance | Preventive Maintenance | Equipment Repair | Sensors | HMIs | Troubleshooting | Continuous Improvement
