Job Description Position: Physical Therapist Assistant - GeriatricSalary Range: $27.51 - $29.33 per hourHours: 30 hours per week, Monday through Friday, no weekend rotation. Full-time.Overview:In this role, you will work alongside our team of physical therapists to help improve the mobility, strength, and overall well-being of our elderly patients. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with the geriatric population and making a positive impact in their lives.Key Responsibilities:Assist the physical therapist in evaluating and developing treatment plans for geriatric patientsImplement treatment plans and provide hands-on therapy to patientsMonitor and document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as neededEducate patients and their families on exercises and techniques to improve mobility and functionCollaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as occupational therapists and speech therapists, to provide comprehensive care to patientsMaintain accurate and up-to-date patient recordsEnsure a safe and comfortable environment for patients during therapy sessionsKeep up-to-date with the latest research and techniques in physical therapy and apply them to patient careCommunicate effectively with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for patientsQualifications:Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant programValid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist AssistantMinimum of 1 year of experience working with geriatric patientsStrong understanding of geriatric conditions and treatment techniquesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently as well as part of a teamCompassionate and patient-centered approach to careBasic computer skills and ability to use electronic medical records
