The field director works closely with undergraduate and graduate students to process field applications, identify appropriate field placements and manage students' field placements. The field director works with students, field instructors and agencies.For more information on our benefits please click the link.Office of Human Resources | BenefitResponsibilitiesResponsible to model the University Mission through dedicated job performance, service excellence to constituencies, respectful collaboration and active support of the University's Mission and Catholic and Lasallian higher education.-Managing and implementing the field application process.-Responding to student questions about the field placement.-Locating field sites for student placements.-Ongoing communication in collaboration with stakeholders in the field education program.-Provide orientation for students and field instructors.-Evaluate the field program for ongoing improvement.-Facilitate cooperation with both internal and external stakeholders.-Teach at least one course per semester.-Other duties, as assigned.Minimum Qualifications-MSW from a Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) accredited program required.-Minimum of 5 years post-MSW experience required.-Social Work license preferred.-Some experience in higher education and teaching preferred.-Excellent analytical, problem solving, written and verbal communication, detail-oriented, multitasking, and organizational skills.-Excellent time management skills with an ability to set and meet deadlines.-Creative, innovative, and strategic thinking as well as the ability to work independently and with faculty and students.-Familiarity with social work agencies and systems.-Ability to work effectively as a team member.-Ability to advance the Department's commitment to diversity and inclusion.Preferred QualificationsSome experience in higher education and teaching preferred.
