DescriptionJoin our team of dedicated medical professionals as a Traumatic Brain Injury Provider (Psychiatrist, Neurologist, or Physiatrist PM&R). This position involves conducting one-time, non-treatment Veteran Disability Exams, combining telehealth services and required travel to locations within Montana and the surrounding states.Employment DetailsStatus: Independent ContractorCompensation: Hourly, paid bi-weeklySchedule: Part Time, Telehealth - 2 days a week, with required travel as needed.RequirementsTo qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following qualifications:Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) specializing in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) or Neurology, with experience in evaluating Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI).Primary care experience is required.Must hold and maintain an active and unrestricted license in the specialty field of M.D. or D.O.Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.ResponsibilitiesReview pertinent medical history documentation and conduct one-time, non-treatment compensation and pension exams for veterans.Capture responses during the exam using web-based examination forms, ensuring all documentation is completed electronically.Send completed exams to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs for disability award determinations.Assessments may be needed for reasons such as motor vehicle accidents, sports injuries, and occasionally, combat exposure.Perform diagnostic testing, including Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA) testing and refer any neuropsychological assessments to a neuropsychologist.Order ancillaries (X-rays, labs, EKGs, PFTs, ABIs) which will be conducted on location or nearby.Equal OpportunityMatrix Providers is an equal-opportunity employer.
