Litigation Associate Attorney – Telecommunications
We are seeking a motivated Litigation Associate Attorney with at least four years of experience to support and defend a telecommunications services provider. This role will focus heavily on litigation and collections matters arising from goods and services rendered to customers. Our office is located in the Financial District in NYC.The ideal candidate is a hands-on litigator who is comfortable managing cases from inception through resolution, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, and court appearances.Key ResponsibilitiesDraft, file, and serve summonses and complaints using standard firm templatesReceive, review, and analyze responses from defendantsCommunicate with defendants and opposing counsel via phone and emailDraft, file, and argue motions; prepare supporting memoranda of lawArrange for and attend court conferences and hearingsManage all phases of discovery, including:Drafting and responding to discovery demandsCollecting and reviewing materials from clients and opposing partiesConduct and defend depositionsSupport legal strategy related to collections of outstanding receivablesMaintain organized case files and ensure compliance with court deadlinesProvide limited supervision and direction to the office’s executive assistant/secretaryCollaborate closely with and report directly to the Senior AttorneyQualifications:Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law schoolAdmission to the bar in New York State (in good standing)4 years of litigation experience3-5 experience with Collections LitigationDemonstrated experience:Drafting motions and legal memorandaConducting and defending depositionsStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage multiple matters and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentDetail-oriented with strong organizational skillsComfortable working both independently and collaborativelyPreferred ExperienceExperience in collections litigation or commercial litigationFamiliarity with telecommunications, contracts, or service agreementsExperience appearing in court and handling conferences independently
