Snelling is currently recruiting an experienced Laser Operator for a well-established company in the Bessemer area. The Laser Operator follows instructions on the job to cut parts required to build products. Starting Pay: $19.00-23.00/hr, Depending on experienceShifts: Openings on 1st & 2nd shift, with overtime as neededJob Responsibilities of Laser Operator: • P erform various tasks related to operation of the laser• Read and operate measurement tools• Program CNC laser equipment• Create programs that test parts utilizing company supplied software/computerExperience Required of Laser Operator: • 2 + years of operating the CNC laser cutting machine• Experience setting up laser machine based on material type and thickness, load programs and set parameters to ensure optimal performance of the equipment• Read work orders to determine specifications, such as materials to be used, locations of cutting lines, or dimensions and tolerances.• Basic computer skills, basic math, and mechanical ability• Read and understand assembly drawings, sketches and blueprints.• Must be able to accurately identify measurements of parts and determine required machine operations from the measurement.• Perform typical laser cutting operations.Interested and qualified candidates for the Laser Operator position should submit their resume to [email protected] for immediate consideration.
