Usher/Ticket TakerEnthusiastically greet guests and provide event information.Responsible for scanning guest's tickets as they enter the buildingEscort guests to their sections/seats, and monitor aisles / steps in assigned section to be kept clear and compliant with fire codesEnforce facility policies (i.e., no smoking, no re-entry)Proactively approach guests that may have a questions, difficulty, or complaint. Creatively resolve guests' troubles up to the level where intervention by a supervisor is required.Identify and respond to emergencies, involve Security or Supervisors as appropriate.Remain calm and direct guests to the designated area of safety in the event of an emergency.Ability to stand for long periods of time requiredMust be able to climb stairs in restricted lightingAbility to move quickly from one area to another in a safe mannerFlexible hours including weekends, holidays, and eveningsWork hours are casual labor, seasonal and non-guaranteedGood Communication skills requiredGreet guests in a friendly manner and be professional at all timesStay calm under pressureHigh school diploma or GED preferredOne-year prior experience in customer service position preferredBe able to stand, walk and climb stairs for duration of shift. Shifts generally last 4-6 hoursMay be exposed to adverse weather conditions
