The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, implementing, maintaining, and documenting complex software applications and computing solutions supporting Electrical Engineering Systems.Must-Have Technical/Functional Skills5+ years of experience with C/C++ across native Unix platforms.Strong knowledge of software/hardware compatibility and solution design.Experience with Team Foundation Server (TFS) and Quality Center.Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, and Teradata.Experience with configuration control tools such as Git, Visual SourceSafe, ClearCase, and SCCS.Strong experience with Windows, Solaris, and Linux operating systems.Experience with Oracle 8+ and Red Hat Linux 6–7.Experience with Microsoft documentation tools including Word, Visio, and PowerPoint.Experience developing software solutions using Java or modern programming languages.Experience developing and maintaining web applications.Roles & ResponsibilitiesLead and perform the design, programming, testing, implementation, and documentation of complex computing applications and software architectures.Maintain the CADDStation application suite running on Solaris systems hosted on Linux.Monitor and maintain the CADDStation ecosystem hosted on the Solaris platform.Analyze end-user processes and define application requirements.Develop complex Unix-based solutions for hardware/software upgrades and application refactoring.Modify and upgrade complex applications to maintain functionality and performance within the Electrical Engineering domain.Identify and recommend application and process improvements.Identify and resolve complex programming and application architecture issues.Analyze multiple technical issues and provide effective solutions.Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.Generic Managerial/Professional SkillsEffective leadership and mentorship skills.Excellent communication skills with the ability to bridge technical and non-technical teams.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Ability to manage multiple priorities and programs simultaneously.Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.Preferred QualificationsBachelor's degree or higher in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or another related technical field.Experience with DevOps/DevSecOps, CI/CD practices, methodologies, and tooling.Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO), Team Foundation Server (TFS), GitLab, Git, IIS, and Windows Server.Experience with PCF (Pivotal Cloud Foundry), Tanzu, or exposure to AWS, GCP, or Microsoft Azure.Experience with Cloud technologies, cloud-native application development, and microservices.Key SkillsC++ | C | Unix | Solaris | Linux | Java | SQL | Oracle | Teradata | Git | TFS | Azure DevOps | GitLab | ClearCase | Web Applications | IIS | DevOps | DevSecOps | CI/CD | Cloud | Microservices | CADDStation
