Registered Dental Assistant

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dental assisting, with experience in both general and pediatric dentistry. This role involves providing exceptional chairside support during dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining a sterile environment in accordance with infection control protocols. Duties Assist the dentist during various procedures, including endodontics, prosthodontics, and general dentistry tasks. Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are available. Perform four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) while adhering to safety standards. Document patient information accurately in electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft. Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Monitor vital signs and assist with medical imaging as required. Ensure proper sterilization of instruments and adherence to aseptic techniques. Provide support in the reception area as needed, including scheduling appointments and managing medical documentation. Qualifications Valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA). Proficiency in EMR systems; experience with Dentrix or Eaglesoft is preferred. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control practices. Familiarity with pediatric dentistry principles is a plus. Experience with 3D scanners and medical coding is advantageous. Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment. Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is highly desirable.
