OverviewOur client, a well-established and nationally recognized Registered Investment Advisor (RIA), is seeking a Director of Investor Relations and Growth Strategy to join their high-performing team. This role is ideal for a results-driven professional who thrives at the intersection of marketing, business development, and private investments.The Strategic Growth Director will play a pivotal role in expanding the firm’s client base and supporting capital-raising initiatives for its Alternative Private Investments (API) platform. By identifying, engaging, and qualifying prospective clients and investors, you will convert early-stage interest into warm, actionable opportunities for the firm’s Wealth Advisors and API team.Key ResponsibilitiesClient & Prospect Sourcing: Proactively identify potential wealth management clients through targeted outreach, strategic events, and referral networksBuild engagement through personalized communication via email, phone, and LinkedInAssess prospect fit based on asset thresholds, timing, and service alignmentMaintain accurate, up-to-date, and actionable CRM recordsPartner closely with Wealth Advisors to ensure smooth and effective handoffsCollaborate with Marketing to refine campaigns, calls-to-action, and lead targeting strategiesConnect with individuals and institutions aligned with the firm’s private investment strategiesShare educational materials to nurture interest and move prospects toward commitmentMaintain a robust investor pipeline in the CRM, documenting all interactionsCoordinate discovery and closing conversations for the API teamSupport webinars, investor briefings, and other events by driving attendance and following up with attendeesAssist in creating investor pitch decks and onboarding documentation in partnership with Marketing and ComplianceCollaboration, Process & ResultsTrack outreach activity, conversion rates, and pipeline performance on a weekly basisRecommend enhancements to sourcing processes and outreach strategiesEnsure alignment and communication between marketing, business development, and investment teamsQualifications & Experience3–7 years of experience in business development, outbound sales, investor relations, or lead generationProven track record of sourcing and qualifying opportunities within wealth management or investment servicesKnowledge of the RIA model and alternative/private investment offeringsCRM proficiency (Salesforce, HubSpot, or SmartOffice preferred) and commitment to data disciplineExcellent communication skills, with confidence in initiating conversations and handling objectionsHighly organized, self-motivated, and accountable to activity and conversion goalsAbility to travel for meetings, conferences, and events as neededFamiliarity with the EOS operating model is a plusStrong team player able to collaborate across departmentsCompensation is dependent on experience and includes:Base Salary – Competitive fixed compensation reflective of experience and qualificationsPerformance Bonus – Annual incentive tied to business development results and strategic growth metricsLong-Term Incentives (LTI) – Equity or restricted shares designed to reward long-term contribution and firm growthAbout MPGMadison Professional Group (MPG) is a third-party recruiting partner and equal opportunity employer.
