Position Title(s): Senior Actuarial Analyst, AVP & Actuary, VP & ActuaryReports to: Senior Vice President / Executive Vice PresidentLocation(s): New York, Minneapolis + additional locations we can consider including Dallas, Atlanta and PhiladelphiaWe are seeking actuarial talent with 2–15 years of experience across the U.S. Preferred hybrid office locations for this role are New York City and Minneapolis, where members of our actuarial team are currently based. We will also consider candidates located near our additional office locations in Dallas, Atlanta, and Philadelphia as well as remote office locations throughout the country. Your relevant work experience and actuarial credential progression will determine the role level for which your application applies. About the roleWe are growing the Actuarial Team at BMS Re and are seeking actuarial talent at various levels. Colleagues on the Actuarial Services team will deliver actuarial analytics for clients seeking reinsurance and advisory support. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality actuarial work product, present analyses to brokers, clients, and reinsurance markets, and perform industry research to support actuarial analysis. You will also help maintain, refine, and develop tools used across the analytics team to strengthen and expand our capabilities. This role offers the opportunity to continue building actuarial and industry expertise in a close-knit team and client-focused environment.For candidates still progressing through actuarial exams, BMS Re will support your pursuit of achieving FCAS with study time, resources, and compensation incentives through our competitive BMS US Actuarial Education Program.Preferred Qualifications: Experience applying actuarial principles across multiple actuarial disciplines, including pricing, reserving, and reinsurance, and across multiple lines of businessExperience working with client data and delivering actuarial analysis from at least one of the following perspectives: reinsurance pricing from a cedant, reinsurer, or broker perspective; transactional pricing for loss-rated business; and/or actuarial consulting for loss reserve and prospective funding analysisExperience presenting actuarial analysis to internal stakeholders and/or external clientsStrong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesAbility to collaborate effectively with actuaries and other internal stakeholdersHigh proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPointTechnical knowledge of statistical analysis software and/or programming languages such as SQL, R, or Python
