This role is responsible for leading foam production activities, ensuring quality standards are maintained, and supporting continuous improvement efforts within the manufacturing environment.As a Manufacturing Foam Technician Lead, you will play a critical role in maintaining our reputation for quality and excellence in product manufacturing. General hours are Monday through Thursday, 5:00a.m. -3:30 p.m. plus overtime when required (Friday & Saturday if needed).Position Overview:Lead the foam production team in their effort to meet and exceed customer expectations by managing foam operations, safety, quality, productivity, and team performance. This role supports daily production schedules, process consistency, and operational improvements. Hours of work may be varied and unusual.Responsibilities:Lead daily foam production activities to ensure production goals and quality standards are achievedMonitor foam equipment, materials, and processes to ensure proper operation and efficiencyTrain and support team members on foam production procedures, safety requirements, and quality expectationsExecute and support cross-training initiatives to ensure operational flexibility across positionsTroubleshoot foam production issues and coordinate corrective actions when necessaryEnsure accurate mixing, pouring, curing, and handling of foam materials according to specificationsMaintain production reports and communicate daily performance updates to managementSupport and actively work with other departments to ensure acceptable quality levelsContinually identify opportunities to improve processes, materials, methods, and equipmentUnderstand, train, and actively support all procedures (SOPs, Work Instructions, Drawings)Actively participate in and facilitate Continuous Improvement programsAct as a role model for safe work practices by promoting a safe work environmentEnsure all safety practices and procedures are enforced and followed consistentlyLead shift meetings to communicate production goals, safety topics, and company updatesWork with Production Manager to address attendance, performance, and behavioral concernsPerform other duties as assignedQualifications:High School Diploma or GED requiredPrevious manufacturing or foam production experience preferredLeadership or team lead experience in a manufacturing environment preferredBasic computer knowledge requiredStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsDemonstrated ability to operate hand tools, foam equipment, and manufacturing machinery safelyMechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills preferredAbility to stand on concrete surfaces for extended periods and perform repetitive tasksAbility to lift up to 35 pounds, push/pull up to 100 pounds, and handle materials repetitivelyDemonstrated ability to comprehend and follow written and oral instructionsAbility to work shifts and hours mandated by managementAbility to coordinate and lead team members to perform daily duties assigned by managementAbility to pass pre-employment drug screen and background checkPIa6706b745bbc-4086
