Project Manager - Construction

Project Manager Construction (Hamblen County Area)The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of construction projects from initial sale through final completion. This role ensures projects are properly scoped, estimated, contracted, and executed while maintaining high standards for quality, safety, budget, schedule, and customer satisfaction. The Project Manager works closely with a Construction Superintendent, who manages daily field operations.ResponsibilitiesManage the overall customer and client experience from project start to closeoutAct as the primary point of contact for customers, clients, subcontractors, and vendorsEvaluate, scope, and sell construction projectsEducate customers on the construction process, schedules, and expectationsDevelop detailed scopes of workPrepare, review, and manage project estimates and budgetsNegotiate project scope, pricing, and contract termsSet clear expectations regarding schedule, cost, and executionCollect deposits, progress draws, and final paymentsMaintain accurate and complete project documentation and job filesCommunicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholdersTrack project costs and manage expenses through closeoutAssist with financial closeout and final payment collectionRecruit, train, onboard, and manage personnel as neededOversee and manage warranty-related activitiesEnsure all required permits are obtained and maintainedIdentify, qualify, and manage subcontractors and suppliersManage company equipment, tools, and materials assigned to projectsEnforce safe work practices and ensure compliance with all safety and risk management policiesBe capable of performing the duties of the Construction Coordinator and Construction Superintendent when requiredContinue developing leadership, management, and construction expertiseBuild and maintain a reliable, high-quality subcontractor baseQualificationsMinimum of 5+ years of experience in construction project management preferredStrong understanding of construction means and methodsProven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and subcontractorsExcellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously
