Reports to Director of TechnologyDepartment Technology - Institutional AdministrationFLSA Status Hourly, Non-ExemptJOB PURPOSETo ensure the MBTS information technology systems allow the faculty, staff, and students the best possible experience when performing their necessary functions, to assist all system users by providing Tier I and Tier II technical support for, and to do so while providing excellent customer service.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSTo maintain an excellent level of customer service across all user groupsProvide Tier I technical support and troubleshootingPhone supportRemote supportIn person supportProvide Coverage for the Service Desk office spaceClassroom technology supportAirtame and Airtame Hub DevicesProjector/TV connectionsiPad w/ attendance softwareUser account managementNew account creationPassword resetsNetwork connectivity troubleshootingAble to work effectively with the Windows Operating systemsAble to work effectively with Mac OSPhone system administration and troubleshootingCell phone support and troubleshootingProvide basic end user troubleshooting for campus software and systemsQUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTSQualifications include:Christian with high integrity, actively pursuing a relationship with GodMinimum of one (1) year experience in the fieldCertifications in related fields will be given considerationProficient in Windows Operating systems, including Windows 10 and 11Experienced with iPad and MacBookOutstanding knowledge of Active Directory users and computer operationsMust exhibit advanced technical troubleshooting skillsExperience in Academic systems, CAMS enterprise SIS and Canvas, strongly preferredMust be a self-starter, able to work independently as well as in a team atmospherePositive AttitudeDesire and willingness to learnAble to prioritize and maintain multiple job requestsMust be able to pass background screening, including driving recordEligible to work in the United StatesWORKING CONDITIONSMaximum 20 hours/week In the Summer. 10 hours/week in the school year.Shared office environmentOffice Hours - Monday - Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pmPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSFrequently required to sit or stand for periods of time at desk or computer stationOccasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.Able lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.Specific vision abilities may include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.This job description is meant to describe the general nature and level of work being performed; it is not intended to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties or skills required for the position.Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary is an Equal Opportunity Employer
