Principal MOCVD Engineer

FunctionLead and manage epitaxial growth activities for the production and development of laser and detector materials, including EMLs and DFBs. Ensure efficient and cost-effective operation of MOCVD reactors, and maintain a reliable supply of epitaxial materials for production. Collaborate closely with processing and device teams to achieve optimal material performance. Implement and uphold ISO 9000 quality standards while ensuring a safe working environment. ResponsibilitiesJob Duties:Coordinate all epitaxial material growth and characterization activities supporting laser manufacturing and R&DDrive continuous improvement in laser component performance and material qualityEnsure a safe, efficient, and cost-effective work environmentProvide technical guidance and support to MOCVD engineers and techniciansCollaborate with senior management to define production schedules and development prioritiesDevelop, maintain, and deliver documentation and training in compliance with ISO 9000 standardsAccountabilities:Ensure a consistent and sufficient supply of high-quality epitaxial materials for laser productsImprove device yield through optimization of material growth processesMaintain MOCVD equipment performance and minimize downtimeUphold safety standards and best practices in all operationsFoster a high-performance work environment that emphasizes quality, efficiency, and employee developmentQualifications5+ years of experience in MOCVD crystal growth of III-V semiconductor lasers and related devicesMaster's degree or higher in Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related fieldStrong expertise in epitaxial growth processes and materials characterization techniquesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsProven ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environmentOur client is an Equal Opportunity Employer, committed to a workplace free from discrimination and harassment.
