Quality Engineer

Job Title: Quality Engineer (Senior SDET)Location: Cincinnati, OH, USA ( 5 Days – Onsite )Experience Required: 6+ YearsEmployment Type: Long Term Job Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) / Quality Engineer to join a cross-functional Agile team within an Agile Release Train (ART). This role focuses on driving quality engineering excellence through test automation, strategic test planning, and continuous improvement of testing practices.The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in automation frameworks, API and backend testing, and CI/CD practices, along with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams.Key Responsibilities:Collaborate within Agile teams and ARTs to drive quality engineering initiativesOwn and implement test strategy, test planning, and executionDesign, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworksWrite high-quality, reusable, and maintainable automation scriptsDevelop end-to-end test coverage across UI (web/mobile) and APIsPerform exploratory testing and identify edge casesAuthor and manage test cases in test management toolsReproduce defects, analyze root causes, and work with teams to resolve issues quicklyEnsure adherence to quality governance standards and best practicesContinuously improve testing processes, tools, and methodologiesRequired Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience6+ years of experience as an SDET or Quality EngineerStrong programming skills in languages such as Java or JavaScriptHands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworksExtensive experience in API and backend testing (Postman, SoapUI, REST Assured)Experience with Selenium WebDriver and UI automationProficiency in SQLExperience with GitHub or similar version control systemsFamiliarity with Agile methodologiesExperience with CI/CD/CT pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, etc.)Understanding of web technologies (HTTP, proxies, caching)Experience working in cloud environmentsStrong communication skills (written and verbal)Mandatory Skills:GitHubTest ExecutionAutomation Testing ToolsPostmanSoapUISelenium WebDriverCucumber (BDD Testing)Web Services TestingAPI TestingPreferred Qualifications:Experience with WebdriverIO and Postman/NewmanExposure to Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) practicesExperience in accessibility testingCertifications such as ISTQB
