HR/Payroll Clerk

HR/Payroll ClerkWe are currently seeking an organized and detail-oriented HR/Payroll Clerk to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing payroll, maintaining employee records, and providing administrative support to the Human Resources department.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in processing bi-weekly payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy and timely submission
Maintain and update employee records, including personal information, job titles, salary adjustments, and benefits enrollment
Assist with onboarding new employees, including preparing offer letters, conducting background checks, and assigning access to systems
Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and company policies
Assist with benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and terminations
Support the HR team with various administrative tasks, such as scheduling meetings, filing, and data entry
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll and employment laws and regulations
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is a plus
1-2 years of experience in payroll processing or HR administration
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of accuracy
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
Familiarity with payroll software and HRIS systems
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
