We are seeking a High-Quality Instructional Materials Data & Training Analyst to join our Office of Teaching, Learning, and Assessment at the
Oregon Department of Education
. This is a permanent position represented by the
Service Employees International Union (SEIU)
.
This position follows a hybrid work model. Onsite presence will be required when business or operational needs are best supported in person, such as collaboration, training, or work that requires access to onsite resources. Employees approved to work remotely must have a reliable and secure internet connection and maintain a professional work environment that supports productivity. While working remotely, employees are expected to maintain the same level of performance, responsiveness, communication, and availability as they would in the office.
What you will do!
The primary purpose of this position is to support statewide efforts to ensure the effective implementation of high-quality instructional materials (HQIM) by coordinating data analysis, developing and delivering HQIM-related training, and facilitating clear, consistent communication with school districts, ESDs, and the public.
Typical duties include:
Monitor HQIM data provided by districts, public charter schools, and ESDs, provide data analysis and synthesis, and collaborate with research analysts and education specialists across offices within ODE on HQIM data collection, data interpretation, and public reporting.
Create and maintain an external HQIM dashboard for ELA and math that displays district use of HQIM to support transparency and accountability.
Develop resources and training (caravans, curriculum-based professional learning, webinars, etc.) to support school districts, public charter schools, and ESDs in implementing HQIM once adopted by the State Board of Education.
Coordinate technical assistance, training (including curriculum-based professional learning), and other supportive activities conducted by the SIS team to support districts and service providers with HQIM implementation.

A bachelor's degree in business or public administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, or a degree related to the agency program that demonstrates the capacity for the knowledge and skills; and two years' experience coordinating or administering a program
OR
Any combination of experience or education equivalent to five years of experience that typically supports the knowledge and skill requirements listed for the classification

Strong communication skills, including speaking, writing, and presenting.
Fluency with office software, applications, collaborative platforms, virtual meeting apps, and presentation software (e.g., Microsoft Office products, Google Suite, Smartsheet, Adobe, Zoom, Microsoft Teams).
Strong organization and project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities; work with multiple deadlines, continual change, and at times heavy workloads; and pivot between competing priorities (including many same-day requests) and situations with ease and grace.
Experience with contract and grant development and management.
Experience providing advice or technical assistance to school districts, tribes, community groups or public.
Ability to establish effective relationships with culturally diverse partners and community groups representing a variety of perspectives and lived experiences.
