ResponsibilitiesDirectly trains and coordinates the activities of production employees in the assigned area following all product specifications and company policiesFollows up and reinforces information provided to new employees in orientationThorough knowledge and understanding of position requirements of assigned line/department and competently demonstrates the skills of each position on the lineAdheres to all workplace and food safety policies and procedures outlined by the company and required by federal, state and local lawsDevelops a competent workforce by utilizing hands-on training methods in the work areaEvaluates trainee progress and maintain records of trainee's progress and achievementsCommunicates and collaborates with all levels of management within the organizationIn the absence of supervisor, supervises and coordinates the activities of production employees under the direction of a general supervisorCommunicates effectively with all employees, provides direction, instructions and feedback based on experience level of employeeFollows up and provides appropriate feedback and recognition based on level of performanceTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty/function satisfactorily. The plant environment will include wet or humid conditions (non-weather related), extreme cold and heat (non-weather related), working near moving mechanical parts and exposure to airborne particles, chemicals and gases at low concentrations. The noise level in the work environment can be loud when in the production area and requires hearing protection.Normal Work ScheduleThe schedule of this position is in alignment with the plant production schedule which is normally a 40 to 50 hour work week with Saturdays required if production is scheduled.EEO is the law.J-18808-Ljbffr
