This position assists our CareCoordinators and other team members in developing daily livingopportunities for peers with chronic and persistent mental illnessand/or substance use. The Peer Support Specialist applies the toolsdeveloped in their own recovery as well as the philosophy and values ofIntentional Peer Support to collaborate, coach, and build relationshipswith peers. This position is based out of the Rumford Office, with aservice area of Oxford County, is per diem (no guarantee of hours and upto 15 hours per week), and schedule must meet the needs of the peers inthe community, including some evenings, occasional weekend coverage, andmeeting clients in non-traditional locations.\Essential Duties**: Ability to obtain Certified Intentional Peer Support Specialistcertification within 12 months of hire Provides ongoing support, care, and conversation to peers and familymembers when appropriate. Assist peers and staff with daily activities and duties. Participate in planning and problem-solving to assist peers inachieving goals identified in their treatment plan.
