Test Development Engineer
Description:
Supports Test Development Group manager and performs management duties when manager is absent or out of office
Consult Customers regarding product testability, test related product design practices and production tests in general
Prepare test development proposals:
Identify Customer expectations and potential project scope
Analyze project documentation, seek required information
Design proposed system, compile required bill of material and engineering hours
Develop proposal document, help key account manager to negotiate the price
Design, develop and deploy test equipment:
Act as a team lead engineer in complex projects
Meet project or assigned task budget and timeframe goals
Handle scope deviations as they occur and assure key account manager has all the required information to demand Customer to cover the cost
Procure required material or services from approved suppliers according company standard procedures
Ensure design has operational safety for users on the production floor
Deploy stable, easy-to-maintain systems, apply best test development practices and standards available at company and industry
Perform statistical analysis and lead test conditions discussion with Customer to ensure process capability index (Cpk) above 1.6
Train test support engineers, technicians or operators when deploying new system
Implement changes and modify existing test equipment according engineering change orders

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant
Electronics Systems Design
Electronics components and their properties
Electronics schematics design
Printed Circuit Board layout design (basics)
Basics of Embedded Systems Design
Measurements Engineering (focus on electrical measurements)
SW design in NI LabView and NI TestStand environments
Principles of Electronics Serial Manufacturing Process
Good knowledge in written and spoken English
Experience in team leading
Basic project management knowledge
Interpersonal skills including ability to collaborate with others and to communicate with Customers
Ability to work with challenging deadlines and frequently changing priorities
